Places to Visit in Bangalore , Sightseeing & Tourist Attractions

Bengaluru is also known as the ‘City Of Gardens’. It is the capital of Karnataka. Bengaluru is the third most populous city in India. It’s a city filled with so many beautiful places. Now I’m going to discuss some of the beautiful places of Bengaluru.

Lal Bagh

Lal Bagh is a botanical garden. It was commissioned by Hyder Ali and finished by his son Tipu Sultan. Lal Bagh is one of the main tourist’s attraction as it has a lake and has the largest collection of India’s tropical plants. It is also a home for birds species like crows, myna, Pond heron, parakeets. Annually, two flower shows are hosted in Lal Bagh, one on Republic Day and one on Independence Day.

Cubbon Park

It covers an area of about 300 acres. Cubbon Park is the landmark of Bengaluru. Earlier this park was known as Meade’s Park. The park is filled with flora and fauna plantations. This park is regulated by the Horticulture Department of Karnataka. It has a creative landscaping of massive bamboos, rock outcrops with trees, flowerbeds and the monuments within it’s limit. The park has motorable roads and walking paths. People frequently come here for morning walk and those who study plants also come here. So yes, this park is a must visit.

Bannerghatta National Park

Bengaluru is a city filled with parks, so, here is the another one. This park was founded in 1970 and in 1974 it was declared as a national park. A portion of this park became a biological reserve in 2002, known as Bennerghatta Biological Park. This park is definitely a tourist destination as it has a zoo, per corner, butterfly enclosure, a safari park, an aquarium and a snake house. Furthermore, you can enjoy hiking and trekking. There are so many temples in this park.

ISKCON Temple

One of the largest ISKCON Temples in the world is situated in Bengaluru. It is a temple of Radha and Krishna. Huge number of devotees come to visit this temple.While exiting the temple after darshan, it leads to a market in which number of shops offer books on Lord Krishna in many languages. Some shops offer eatable items as well like laddoos, samosa, milk shakes, cheese cake etc.They also offer bags with the photo of Lord Krishna on it.

Wonderla

If you’re planning to go Bengaluru then wonderla is a must visit place. It is an amusement park. You and your family will have a great time there. Wonderla is spread in 82 acres. In total Wonderla has 50 rides based on water and land. The attraction of this park is musical fountain, laser shows, water rides. In winters, solar heated pannels are used for all the pools. So all in all it’s a fun place.

Nandi Temple

Nandi temple is situated in the bull temple road.It’s the biggest temple of Nandi in the world. Nandi is a demi god who is a close devotee of Lord Shiva. They continually covers the stone cult image of Nandi with butter. Nandi’s murti is approximately 20 ft. long and the height of the murti is approximately 50 ft.Tourists visit this place.

Gavi Gangadhareshwara Temple

This temple is also known as Gavipuram Cave Temple. The temple is situated in Bengaluru and it’s a wonderful example of Indian rock cut architecture.  mysterious stone discs in the temple and the exact planning of sunlight to shine in a particular time of the year  makes this temple famous. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It was built in 16th century by the founder of Bengaluru Kempe Gowda. Makarsakranti and Mahashivratri is celebrated in this temple every year.

Bangalore Palace

The famous Bangalore palace, enclosed by beautiful gardens, is a famous tourist attraction in Bangalore. It is now owned by the Mysore Royal family. This Palace is one of the most eye-catching tourist attractions in the city of Bangalore. The wooden structure of the palace along with the splendid carvings both inside and outside the palace depicts various architectural styles and showcases the royal culture.

Tipu Sultan’s Palace

The great grand summer palace of Tipu Sultan has now been converted into a museum, and it is a must-see and most beautiful attraction in Bangalore. Magnificent figures, paintings and other beautiful  artwork adorn this palace. The important and different  feature of the palace is that it had been constructed using pure teak wood, something that is hard to find in today’s world.

Bangalore Turf Club

Bangalore Race Course is one of the best and most challenging race course in the country. Race lovers are always prefer this place. The Bangalore Race Course provides stabling facilities for more than 1,000 horses, three training tracks, an equine swimming pool, training schools, walking rings, a veterinary hospital and an amateur riding school.

Snow City

Snow City is one of the most biggest and  popular snow parks in India. A famous and favourite with kids and adults alike, it offers a memorable winter experience even as the temperatures soar in the rest of the city. The huge indoor park covers an area of 12,500 square feet filled with snow. Snow City offers exciting activities such as snow balling, mountain climbing, sliding, basketball and dancing.

 

So many other places like St. Mary’s Basilica Church, HAL aerospace museum, Bangalore Fort, Venkatappa art gallery, Innovative film city, Snow city, chikmaglur and a lot more can be explored in Bengaluru. It’s such a huge city.
